24. Have you ever knitted a garment or had one knitted for you?

When I was 16, my aunt taught me to knit and then taught me to make baby booties. I made 4 pairs. They were so cute. I had a wonderful time with my aunt and she was impressed that I learned it so quickly. Now for the funny part, I never knitted another thing. It was nice that day but it wasn't my thing. Two years later she taught me how to crochet blankets. She gave me tons of yarn, and I used it all to make blankets. I found out I didn't care for that either. I'm just not artistic. But my aunt loved the blankets I made for her. And I loved spending time with her. She's also the one who taught me how to play pinochle. Now that was hard. Too many rules.

23. The pirate William Kidd was born this month in 1645. Have you read Treasure Island?

When I was a kid I read it but I don’t remember it at all. I mean I know it’s about pirate ships and such. Never got into the story. Do you like pirate stories or movies with pirates?

I'm going to start going through the lists tonight. Woot! I hope to fulfill some wishes. I got some today that were really nice. When the lists came out on the 7th, or whenever, I fulfilled some then too. Happy Wednesday to everyone. Getting a late start tonight.

20. Have you read any of the Winnie the Pooh books?

Because of my children I had a whole set of Winnie the Pooh. We also had the movies on vhs tapes. We finally just threw them all away. I used to like the stories with pooor bipolar Eeyore. He was my favorite and my kids liked Piglet and Tigger. Two of my kids would bounce like tigger. It’s a very nice memory. Who were your favorites.

I went to Google, looked him up, and have been reading all morning. I remembered a lot of it. It was nice spending the morning with him in my mind. I hope everyone else does the same thing.

18. It’s Sunday – what was the best part of last week?

Last week wasn’t eventful. So yesterday when hubby said let’s go to Chili’s for lunch I jumped at his idea. It was 73° and sunny. Perfect day for a drive and lunch. We both had the triple fajitas. Beef, shrimp, and chicken. Everything was melt in your mouth tender. We both loved our choices. Then we drove around some more. I came home and whipped up a little story. It was a good day.

17. The US celebrates Hot Buttered Rum Day today! Have you ever tried it?

I’m an alcoholic, so yes been there and sure don’t want the t-shirt. It’s a very tasty drink but I’ve been sober for 40 years. Which is great news.

I made Baileys Irish Cream chocolate chip cookies and mudslide double chocolate chip cookies for Christmas. I tried one of each and they didn’t taste like the liqueur. Someone said when you bake alcohol it bakes out. I couldn’t tell.

What is your favorite drink? Mine was Sloe Gin Fizz for years until I discovered Peach Bellini. To this day I order a virgin peach Bellini. It’s so good. Who needs the stinking booze. 😁

Challenge #8

Talk about your creative process.

I love making moodboards for different fandoms. First I find at least 5 pictures and 10 quotes. Like if it's slash story, I can put quotes to go with pictures. To build one moodboard it takes about 4 hours. So, if I make three or four, it will take me all day. But they are worth the work.

For the creative process of writing fan fic, I make lots of notes and start with those. I start at the beginning and work my way to the end. I play Jesus Christ Superstar. To put me in a good frame of mind.

But I have been known to write the ending first and the middle part, second. Then I have to find my beginning. Once I have written the entire thing, I send to betas.

I can only work on one thing at a time. Even if it's just artwork. I wrote two stories for the Small fandom big bang. I had to finish the first one, and once done then I started on the following one.

14. Mark Antony was born today in Rome in 83BCE. Have you ever seen “Cleopatra” starring Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra and Richard Burton as Mark Antony?


For school we had to go see the movie and then make a bigger report on it. I got an A on the report. But for the life of me I can’t remember anything about the movie. The only thing I remember was how beautiful both actors were. Her eyes were beautiful on the big screen.

Does anyone really remember this movie?
